Card, PayPal, Mobile Money: how to follow all your receipts in one place

Your customers pay in several ways. Here is how to keep a single view of what comes in, and quickly spot what fails.

Offering several ways to pay is an advantage: you do not lose a customer because they do not have the right card. But each payment method creates one more statement to check. Here is how to stay in control without multiplying dashboards.

What each payment method sends you

An online payment service generally notifies your site at every payment: successful, failed, refunded. A Mobile Money payment is confirmed by the provider. In both cases, the information already exists: the point is to receive it in one place.

The three pieces of information not to miss

  • Successful payments, to know the day’s revenue.
  • Failed or declined payments, which are sales to recover.
  • Refunds and disputes, which need a quick reply.

An unverified payment is not a payment

A customer who says “I paid” has not necessarily paid. Good practice is to verify the payment with the provider before delivering. That is also how payment works in Pilot-Biz itself: the server queries the provider before activating the plan, without trusting what the customer’s browser displays.

Reconcile every week

Once a week, compare the total received in your dashboard with each provider’s. A gap points to a payment not passed on or a sale entered twice. The earlier you do it, the easier it is to fix.

With Pilot-Biz

Payments sent by your sites and services arrive in a single feed, sorted by urgency: a failed payment rises to the top and can alert you on Telegram. Pilot-Biz does not replace your payment provider: it gathers what it reports to you.
