Tracking your revenue in CFA francs when you have several businesses
Shop, services, rentals: how to see each activity’s real revenue, in a single currency, without a complicated spreadsheet.
When you run several activities, the question “how much did I sell this month?” often takes several minutes of digging: a payment statement here, a notebook there, a shop export somewhere else. Here is a simple method to get a clear answer, in CFA francs or any currency you choose.
Why revenue gets scattered
Each activity collects money its own way: card, PayPal, Mobile Money, cash, bank transfer. Each tool shows its own amounts, sometimes in different currencies. Without a central point, you add things up by hand, with the risk of forgetting a sale or counting the same one twice.
What to track for each business
- Sales collected, with the date and the amount.
- Refunds and cancellations, which reduce real revenue.
- The month’s expenses, to go from revenue to result.
- A monthly goal, to know whether you are ahead or behind.
Choose a single reference currency
Even if some customers pay in euros and others in CFA francs, choose a main currency to display your figures. It avoids comparing amounts that cannot be compared. In Pilot-Biz, each workspace picks its currency (euro, CFA franc, dollar, etc.), and all figures are shown in it.
Tell revenue, expenses and result apart
Revenue is what you collect. The result is what is left after expenses. Many entrepreneurs only look at the first and are surprised at the end of the month. Note your expenses as you go, even roughly: a few seconds of entry beats a perfect table that never gets filled in.
A ten-minute review each week
Each week, look at three things: each business’s revenue, the gap with the month’s goal, and unusual expenses. If an activity slips, you see it right away and react before the month ends.
With Pilot-Biz
Payments received feed each business’s finances, month by month. You add expenses in seconds and follow the result per activity and in total. Pilot-Biz does not replace your official accounting: it gives you the day-to-day management view.
