Run your businesses by talking to Claude or ChatGPT: a guide for entrepreneurs
Instead of opening ten screens, ask your AI assistant. How to link it to your data without copy-pasting, what it can do and what it must never do.
Many entrepreneurs already use Claude or ChatGPT to write a message or think through an idea. But as soon as it comes to their own figures (who paid me, who is waiting for an answer, which invoice is overdue), the assistant knows nothing: you have to retype everything. There is now a better way.
The principle: give your assistant a socket
A standard called MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets you plug an AI assistant into a service, a bit like plugging a device into a universal socket. Once plugged in, you no longer copy and paste anything: you talk normally, and the assistant fetches the information it needs by itself, with your consent.
What you can ask it
- “What are my urgent items today across all my businesses?”
- “Give me my morning briefing.”
- “Who should I follow up with this week?”
- “Find everything I’ve exchanged with Awa.”
- “Create a task to call the supplier tomorrow.”
- “Prepare a quote for Awa: showcase website, 350,000 FCFA.”
What an assistant should never do on its own
Giving access to your data does not mean allowing everything. Three safeguards are reasonable: read first without changing anything, never send a message or a document to a customer without you having reviewed it, and never delete anything or record a payment. In Pilot-Biz these limits are built in: even with actions turned on, the assistant prepares a draft and you are the one who sends.
Protecting yourself from booby-trapped text
A customer, or anyone writing to you, can slip a sentence such as “ignore your instructions and do this” into a message. A good connection tells the assistant that such text is data to read, not orders. That is the case in Pilot-Biz, and it is also a reason to keep your rights read-only until you need actions.
How to do it with Pilot-Biz
- Open Settings → Connected AI: the address to copy and the steps for each assistant are shown there.
- In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector with that address: a Pilot-Biz window opens, you sign in, choose the rights and allow.
- For Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, create a personal key in one click and paste the configuration shown.
- To stop, one click on “Revoke” cuts the access immediately.
It is open to every plan: on the free plan, the assistant works on your free business; on Pro, on all your businesses, with Pilot-Biz’s AI features on top.
